About The Position

Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical Surgical Unit. The unit cares for patients with a variety of conditions, acuity levels, and treatment plans, including some telemetry patients. The role offers variety in day-to-day work and opportunities to expand nursing skills. The nurse collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and works with supportive leadership, Nursing Assistants, Intensivists, and nurse practitioners; Respiratory Therapy is available at night. Additional incentives are available for picking up extra shifts. The nurse utilizes the nursing process, provides patient care, delegates care tasks, and supervises other patient care staff. The role coordinates care plans for an assigned group of patients and consults with other members of the health care team as indicated to support optimal outcomes. The clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

At least 2 years of applicable experience.
Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
Associate degree.

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process.
Perform patient care and delegate patient care tasks.
Supervise other patient care staff.
Coordinate the plan of care for an assigned group of patients.
