About The Position

Valparaiso Care & Rehab is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care that supports residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being. The role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and staff by learning their life stories. Nurses use their clinical skills to promote resident well-being and contribute to a rewarding care environment. Evening and night shifts are available.

Requirements

• Hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license in Indiana.
• Demonstrate proficient medication management skills.
• Be able to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
• Have a strong passion for geriatric nursing and a commitment to senior care excellence.
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.
• Demonstrate supportive presence, leadership, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care that promotes residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being.
• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive resident care.
• Work toward the shared goal of excellent resident care.
• Support a respectful and positive work environment.
• Manage medications proficiently.
• Conduct thorough resident assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
