About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at Hickory Creek at Huntington, you will provide care in a smaller, more personal setting and build meaningful relationships with residents and staff by learning about their life stories, routines, and preferences. You will use your nursing skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being. The position is listed as a weekend option, with schedules of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, either 6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m.

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
• Proficient medication management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.

• Supportive presence, leadership, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being through nursing care.
• Provide a supportive, comforting, and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
• Work toward a shared goal of excellent resident care.
• Support a respectful and positive work environment.
• Manage medications, conduct thorough assessments, and accurately document changes in residents’ conditions.
