About The Position
Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Michigan City Campus. Nurses provide comprehensive care to patients and their families by listening to and assessing each patient, developing plans of care, and implementing, reassessing, and evaluating those plans. This role is on a 24-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio and includes a didactic learning experience in a fast-paced environment. Current openings are for a .9 FTE day schedule, with rotating weekends and holidays. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program is required.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana or a state listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Experienced and new graduate nurses are welcome.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and assess patients, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and cared for.
- Develop a plan of care for each patient.
- Implement, reassess, and evaluate each patient's plan of care.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
