About The Position
Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Michigan City campus. Nurses provide comprehensive care to patients and families by listening to and assessing patients, developing plans of care, implementing them, and reassessing and evaluating each patient. Current openings are on the 5 East Med/Surg/Ortho unit, a 25-bed unit, and the 5 West Med/Surg unit, a 21-bed unit. Both units have a 5:1 patient ratio. The position offers a didactic learning experience in a fast-paced environment. New graduates are welcome.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana or a state listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and assess patients.
- Develop plans of care for patients.
- Implement, reassess, and evaluate each patient's plan of care.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
