About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families by developing, implementing, reassessing, evaluating, and revising plans of care. Plans are tailored to each patient and informed by psychosocial and physiologic assessments, cultural, ethical, and spiritual needs, trends among similar patients, and physicians’ orders. The RN applies knowledge, skills, and experience throughout the continuum of care, including patient and family education, and follows nursing regulations, standards, and Franciscan Alliance processes and procedures. This role is in the 29-bed 3A Adult Psych Unit at Franciscan Health Dyer Campus. It is a part-time night-shift position in a fast-paced environment with a didactic learning experience. The RN is expected to be team-oriented and flexible in meeting patient care needs.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program.
- Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Team-oriented approach and flexibility in meeting patient care needs.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, reassess, evaluate, and revise patient-specific plans of care.
- Perform psychosocial and physiologic assessments and consider patients’ cultural, ethical, and spiritual needs.
- Review trends among similar patients and consider physicians’ orders when planning care.
- Provide care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care, including patient and family education.
- Apply nursing regulations and standards, along with Franciscan Alliance processes and procedures, in daily practice.
