About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families by developing, implementing, reassessing, evaluating, and revising individualized plans of care. Plans are based on psychosocial and physiologic assessments, patients’ cultural, ethical, and spiritual needs, trends among similar patients, and physicians’ orders. The RN applies relevant knowledge, skills, and experience throughout the continuum of care, including patient and family education, and follows nursing regulations, standards, and Franciscan Alliance processes and procedures. This position is in the 3A Adult Psych Unit, a 29-bed unit, and offers a didactic learning experience in a fast-paced environment. It is a part-time night-shift position.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana or a state listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Team-oriented approach and flexibility in meeting patient care needs.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, reassess, evaluate, and revise patient-specific plans of care.
- Perform psychosocial and physiologic assessments and consider patients’ cultural, ethical, and spiritual needs.
- Review trends in similar patients and consider physicians’ orders when developing plans of care.
- Provide patient and family education throughout the continuum of care.
- Apply nursing regulations and standards, along with Franciscan Alliance processes and procedures, in daily practice.
