About The Position

The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role includes monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients. This is a full-time night position in the ICU at Morristown Medical Center, with hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of intermediate or critical care experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; ASN holders must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• 2 or more years of experience in nursing or a relevant area.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete health care records and reports.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Record patient vital signs and medical information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
