Registered Nurse Full Time Nights 7p-7a ICU Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role monitors patients, administers medications, maintains records, consults with healthcare providers, and educates patients. This is a full-time night-shift ICU position at Morristown Medical Center, with a stated schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The nurse maintains complete and accurate health care records; administers medications and monitors for side effects and reactions; prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments; records vital signs and medical information; and monitors and reports changes in patient condition. The nurse also assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient nursing care in coordination with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Associate of Science in Nursing graduates must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
- Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
- At least 1 year of critical care experience.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete health care records and reports.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
