About The Position
The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with a range of injuries, illnesses, and disabilities. The role includes monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining health care records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients. This is a full-time, overnight ICU position at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, with a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. schedule.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing; nurses with an ASN must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
- Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
- At least 1 year of critical care experience.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete health care records and reports.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
