About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its home health visit team. The RN is an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to clients so they can remain at home. Care is delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability to clients and their families. The role involves independent clinical judgment in home settings, managing visits and urgent needs, and documenting care. BAYADA provides paid training and around-the-clock clinical support.

Requirements

• Hold a current nursing license in good standing in Maryland.
• Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program, as evidenced by a school transcript or diploma.
• Have at least one year of current or recent hands-on medical experience within the past two years with adult or geriatric patients in acute care, an emergency department, home health, hospice, ICU, med-surg, sub-acute care, or medical or skilled nursing rehabilitation settings.
• Work independently and recognize when to escalate concerns.
• Be comfortable making real-time clinical decisions without immediate on-site support.
• Have strong problem-solving skills in unpredictable home environments.
• Be efficient with point-of-care documentation and technology.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while meeting productivity expectations.
• Be comfortable providing care in varied home environments.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs and schedules.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for patient autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Use head-to-toe assessment skills and identify subtle changes in patient condition.
• Apply acute and post-acute care experience, including care related to CHF, COPD, wound care, IV therapy, and post-surgical needs.
• Triage and manage urgent clinical situations independently in the home setting.
• Perform medication reconciliation, patient teaching, and safety monitoring.
• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments, provide wound care, and document care.
• Manage a dynamic visit schedule and prioritize urgent visits.
• Make real-time clinical decisions and escalate concerns when appropriate.
