About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Midtown Atlanta is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Registered Nurse (RN) helps provide compassionate, excellent treatment to patients throughout their recovery. This is a full-time days position for a new graduate RN, with a stated schedule of 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The role includes a structured 10–13-week new graduate orientation with a dedicated preceptor. Applicants may apply before obtaining their RN license, but must have a license by the start date.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
Valid state RN license required; applicants may apply before licensure but must hold a license upon the start date.
BLS required at hire.
Flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the physician and preceptor, assure implementation of the patient assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care.
Initiate ongoing systematic assessment of patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs.
Interpret assessment data and information to develop nursing care plans, including problem identification, nursing diagnosis and orders, approaches, interventions, short- and long-term goals, and discharge planning.
Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation goals.
Ensure medical record documentation is complete, factual, accurate, and timely.
