About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care by actively listening to and assessing patients, developing plans of care, implementing them, and reassessing and evaluating each patient. The role serves patients and their families as part of a collaborative care environment at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus in Lafayette, Indiana. The position is a 1.0-day shift, with a Monday–Friday schedule of either four 10-hour shifts or five shifts per week. It includes a call rotation once weekly and a weekend rotation. Typical patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:1.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state licensing board in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), if required by the unit.
- Franciscan Alliance unit-specific certifications, if required by the unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), if required by the unit.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), if required by the unit.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
- Radiology, Emergency Department (ED), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
