About The Position
Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its surgical unit at Franciscan Health Indianapolis Orthopedic Hospital in Carmel, Indiana. Nurses provide comprehensive care to patients and their families by listening and assessing patient needs, developing plans of care, implementing them, and reassessing and evaluating each patient. The surgical unit has five operating-room suites, with cases primarily involving total joints and orthopedic spine procedures. This is a full-time day-shift role. The unit is closed on weekends and holidays, and only minimal call shifts are required. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana or a state listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Experience as an operating-room orthopedic nurse.
- Team-oriented approach and flexibility in meeting patient-care needs.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.
