About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ICU Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital. The role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the nursing unit. The nurse ensures continuity of care between shifts by providing direct patient care and supervising care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The position also participates in patient and family teaching and serves as a patient advocate in support of the organization’s mission.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous Intensive Care Unit experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the nursing unit.
- Provide direct patient care and ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
