About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the MedSurg Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital. The role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients on the unit. The nurse ensures continuity of care between shifts by providing direct patient care and supervising care delivered by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The role also participates in patient and family teaching and serves as a patient advocate in support of the organization’s mission. This is a full-time dayshift position, working 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for 72 hours per pay period. The posting advertises a commitment bonus of up to $10,000.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous telemetry experience.
- PALS certification.
- Charge-trained nurses.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care within the nursing unit.
