About The Position

The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role includes monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients. This is a full-time night position in the ICU at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, with a 7 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of prior clinical nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing. ASN graduates must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• 1 year of critical care experience.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
• Administers medications and monitors patients for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
