About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Director of Health and Wellness. The RN conducts resident assessments and reassessments, provides direct nursing care, and supervises day-to-day nursing activities performed by care staff. The role is part-time, scheduled for 22.5 to less than 30 hours per week, from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Compensation is $39–$40 per hour.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a current RN license.
Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations and of nursing practices, techniques, and methods applied to resident health and wellness.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, and Excel), and the ability to learn new applications.
Ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, sitting, fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds; intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies.
Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of residents.
Assist in training and monitoring medication administration.
Maintain clinical quality assurance in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
Promote the highest degree of service to residents while leading and demonstrating the company’s mission.
Conduct thorough resident assessments.
