About The Position

The Wellness Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct nursing care to residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness. Led by the community’s Health and Wellness Director (RN), the nurse also helps supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants. This is a part-time overnight position scheduled from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with scheduled hours of at least 22.5 and fewer than 30 per week. The hourly salary range is $36.00–$38.00, and a sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a current LPN license.
Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations and of nursing practices, techniques, and methods applied to resident health and wellness.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, and Excel), and the ability to learn new applications.
Ability to perform the physical activities described, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and intermittent lifting and support of residents using proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting is preferred.
