About The Position

The Registered Nurse conducts resident assessments and reassessments, provides direct nursing care, and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by care staff. The role reports to the Director of Health and Wellness and supports resident health, safety, and well-being while maintaining clinical quality standards and promoting the company’s mission. This is a part-time position scheduled from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The listed pay range is $39–$40 per hour.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Hold a current RN license.
Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations and of nursing practices, techniques, and methods applied to resident health and wellness.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, and Excel), and ability to learn new applications.
Ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, sitting, fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and participate in intermittent lifting and supporting of residents using proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies.
Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of residents.
Assist with training and monitoring medication administration.
Maintain clinical quality assurance in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
Promote a high degree of service to residents while demonstrating the company’s mission.
Conduct thorough resident assessments and reassessments.
Provide direct nursing care to residents.
