About The Position

The Wellness Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct nursing care to residents, emphasizing holistic wellness. Led by the community’s Health and Wellness Director (RN), the nurse also helps supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistant care staff. This is a part-time position scheduled from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with an hourly salary range of $36.00–$38.00 and a sign-on bonus offered.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a current LPN license.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations and nursing practices, techniques, and methods applied to resident health and wellness.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, and Excel), and ability to learn new applications.
Ability to perform the physical duties described, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and intermittent lifting and supporting of residents; proper body mechanics are required.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting.
Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias.

Responsibilities
