About The Position

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Clinical team at Beacon Hill in Lombard, Illinois. The RN provides direct nursing services to residents in an assigned neighborhood or program, administers medications and treatments, and helps coordinate residents’ care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The role also includes supervising and training team members, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Requirements

Registered Nurse license and certifications, along with other licensure required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

One year of nursing experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing services to residents in an assigned neighborhood or program.
Provide hands-on and on-the-job training to newly hired team members and retraining as assigned.
Oversee physician orders and verify that orders are accurately transcribed into the electronic record system and treatment plan.
Administer medications and provide treatments according to orders.
Supervise and provide leadership and discipline to clinical and non-clinical team members.
Participate with the interdisciplinary team to review, plan, coordinate, and evaluate resident care.
Document residents’ conditions and nursing needs accurately and promptly, and report pertinent observations and reactions in a timely manner.
Perform treatments as necessary, document resident status, and observe reactions to medications and treatments.
Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers to support quality customer service.
Plan resident admissions as ordered by a physician, perform assessments, verify orders with the physician, and notify the pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments as necessary.
Provide a thorough report to the oncoming shift to support continuity of resident care.
