About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through interpersonal contact and provides care and services that help patients attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The RN evaluates patient needs through ongoing assessment and revises care plans when a patient’s condition changes. The position also provides clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs. The role is part-time, working Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Baylor pay included. The employer is affiliated with Life Care Centers of America, a privately owned healthcare organization with more than 200 locations across the United States.

Requirements

Nursing diploma, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Currently licensed or registered in the applicable state.
Maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation; certification must remain current during employment.
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.

Nice To Haves

One year of geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities
