Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Private Duty Nursing
About The Position
MedCare Pediatric is hiring Registered Nurses to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric clients in their homes. Nurses care for children with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery, helping them remain with their families rather than in an inpatient facility. The role includes assessing clients, monitoring vital signs and seizure activity, managing specialized equipment and devices, administering medications and treatments, coordinating with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team, and completing timely clinical documentation. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible 8–12-hour shifts across day, night, weekday, and weekend schedules in the Greater Houston area and surrounding regions. Pediatric home health experience is preferred but not required; new graduate RNs are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, one-on-one nursing care to pediatric clients in a home setting during 8–12-hour shifts.
- Care for clients with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or recovering from injuries or extensive surgery.
- Assess client conditions during each visit, including monitoring vital signs and seizure activity and providing care for gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes), tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and the individualized plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
