About The Position
This travel assignment places you in an inpatient behavioral health environment, delivering professional psychiatric nursing care to individuals with mental health needs. You will collaborate with the care team to support safe, recovery-focused treatment plans while maintaining regulatory and patient safety standards.
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma RN license to practice
- BLS certification required; ability to maintain as needed
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; eligibility to practice nursing in the state of Oklahoma
- Ability to work the listed shift (12-hour night shifts) and participate in required on-call or weekend coverage as needed
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in psychiatric/behavioral health or inpatient setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting, including assessments, monitoring, and safety interventions
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic effects and adverse reactions, documenting in the electronic health record
- Implement and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; respond to changes in patient status
- Apply de-escalation techniques and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment; participate in crisis intervention as needed
- Document shifts, handoffs, and patient progress according to policy; ensure accurate and compliant charting and reporting
