This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Postpartum care, located in Cambridge, MA. The role is based in a hospital setting, specifically within a postpartum unit. Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license with Nursys verification pulled within the last 7 days.
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required at submission; flu vaccine during season.
• 1+ year of acute care/postpartum nursing experience.
• Up-to-date resume including 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references.
• EMR experience and ability to work in a postpartum unit.
• RTO must be included at submission.
• Driver’s license with address matching demographics.

Nice To Haves

• Travel experience preferred; willing to consider first-time travelers.
• Locals within 50 miles may qualify for a local rate.
• Lactation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nurse-led postpartum care for mothers following vaginal or cesarean delivery and support healthy newborn care.
• Monitor and respond to vital signs, postpartum recovery, pain, bleeding, and potential complications (e.g., postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate administration as ordered).
• Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies (e.g., IV antibiotics, IV magnesium as ordered, Rhogam, Lovenox) and document care in the EMR.
• Support lactation and breastfeeding, provide patient and family education, and coordinate newborn care, discharge planning, and safety instructions.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and timely escalation as needed; participate in unit-based rounds and care coordination.
