About The Position

Registered Nurse – Outpatient, traveling assignment in Saint Helena, California, United States. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 40 hours per week on a 4x10-hour day shift. Practice setting focuses on outpatient surgical services within a short-term acute care environment.

Requirements

California Registered Nurse license (active) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
Endoscopy experience required; outpatient surgery/perioperative experience strongly preferred
Minimum two years of recent RN experience in the field, with demonstrated comfort in preoperative and PACU Phase II workflows
Proficiency with EPIC or equivalent EMR system
Ability to work in a high-volume outpatient surgery setting and contribute to rapid patient turnover

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient procedures, including endoscopy cases, across pre-operative and PACU Phase II workflows.
Monitor patients in PACU Phase II, track recovery milestones, manage vital signs, and support rapid turnover for subsequent cases.
Administer medications and oversee moderate sedation per established protocols; respond to emergencies and maintain patient safety.
Document care and outcomes in the EPIC electronic health record; collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and outpatient care teams.
Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals to support continuity of care.
Supervise and coordinate duties of assigned nursing staff and support personnel as indicated.
