About The Position

This travel temporary assignment is designed for a candidate who can provide coordinated nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient environment and collaborate across disciplines. The role involves providing direct, coordinated nursing care for patients in the outpatient procedure unit, following established standards and the nursing process. Responsibilities include performing timely assessments, analyzing data, contributing to individualized care plans, implementing care plans, monitoring patient status, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed. The nurse will collaborate with physicians, anesthesia teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient care and patient comfort. Additionally, the role involves educating patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and discharge instructions, and participating in discharge planning. Accurate documentation in the electronic charting system and appropriate delegation and supervision of support staff are also key aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (CA required)
  • BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor required
  • At least two years of recent, relevant clinical experience
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • Ability to work in an outpatient/procedure unit setting and adapt to a fast-paced environment
