About The Position

Registered Nurse – OR in Fortuna, CA for a travel assignment starting 10/05/2026. Duration: Weeks. Shift: 5x8 Days. Weekly pay range: $3,069-$3,279 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Work setting: rural hospital Surgical/PACU unit with endoscopy experience required. 40 hours of orientation provided.

Requirements

• Active RN license in a compact state; license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year OR experience; endoscopy experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• References: 2 required (covering 1 year within the last 3 years; 6 months for CNAs)
• Background checks: Nursys and prior background hits not accepted
• Ability to work in OR circulation and PACU/recovery; may float to nearby facilities as assigned
• Local radius: within 50 miles preferred

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the OR and provide recovery care in PACU; endoscopy experience is required
• Deliver perioperative nursing across adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics; monitor vitals and anesthesia–related parameters
• Support common procedures including laparoscopic/open general surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, colonoscopy/EGD, hernia repair, tonsil/adenoid, total joint replacement, VATS, and pediatric general OR
• Maintain patient safety, manage post-anesthesia care, and respond to perioperative emergencies; monitor cardiac status
• Collaborate with Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary; document in Epic or equivalent
• Ensure sterile technique and adherence to perioperative protocols in a 3-room unit
