About The Position

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) with Cardiovascular/Open Heart expertise in a hospital OR setting. This assignment takes place in a large academic teaching hospital environment that requires high levels of perioperative skill and teamwork. The role involves providing perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular/open heart cases, including circulating and, as assigned, scrub duties. The nurse will maintain sterile technique, manage instrument tables and supplies, and assist the surgical team with case preparation and completion. Schedule and call requirements include three 12-hour shifts (0645–1915), one to two weekday on-call periods (1900–0715), and one full weekend of call every five weeks.
