About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room located in Salida, Colorado. The assignment is for 12 weeks, starting on 10/05/2026, with a weekly pay range of $2,485 to $2,685 and guaranteed 40 hours per week. The role involves providing perioperative care in a Critical Access Hospital setting, situated in a rural region known for outdoor recreation. The position requires 10-hour shifts with call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact state
- Current CPR certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS or PEARS certification
- Ability to work in an operating room setting and participate in call rotations
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases as assigned.
- Maintain sterile technique and aseptic practices; assist the surgical team with instruments and equipment setup.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively; document pertinent events and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and staff to ensure patient safety, positioning, and safe turnover of cases.
- Complete accurate intraoperative documentation and contribute to post-anesthesia handoffs and charting.
- Participate in equitable call rotations and adhere to infection control, safety policies, and department protocols.
