About The Position

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 09/14/2026 for 17 weeks. 12-hour shifts. Weekly pay range $2,302 to $2,327. No guaranteed hours. Hospital setting. The schedule includes on-call/callback, rotating shifts, and holidays/weekends as needed.

Requirements

NY RN license; active and in good standing
Two (2) years operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center
Able to scrub and circulate
BLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Nice To Haves

Telemetry experience is highly desired
ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care in the OR across a wide variety of surgical cases
Scrub and circulate for specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center)
Support transplant cases involving livers, kidneys, and hearts; participate in multi-service use of two DaVinci robotic systems
Monitor patient status intraoperatively, assist with anesthesia considerations, and manage equipment, instruments, and supplies
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team to maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and accurate counts
May encounter telemetry needs; adapt to unit requirements and evolving case schedules
