About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse assignment in an Operating Room setting at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital in Templeton, CA. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 08/31/2026. The role guarantees 40 hours per week with a pay range of $2,558–$2,714 per week. The shift is 4x10-hour days with variable start times between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
Associate Degree in Nursing required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
At least two years of recent operating room experience
One year of full-time OR experience required
Must have OR circulating experience
EPIC experience required
Able to work a 4x10-hour schedule with on-call and weekend obligations (1–2 weeknights per week and 1 weekend per month)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
CNOR preferred

Responsibilities

Circulate in the OR during surgical procedures; assist surgeons and anesthesiologists; coordinate equipment, supplies, and staff flow
Maintain strict aseptic technique and safely operate OR equipment
Prepare patients for surgery, including safe positioning and perioperative assessment
Participate in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care planning and documentation
Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; document tissue handling activities (temperature checks, tissue logs) and comply with manufacturers' guidelines
Use the electronic health record (EPIC) to access and document pertinent patient information and care activities
