About The Position

Registered Nurse - OR (Perioperative Services) travel assignment in Dillon, Montana. Start date 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Nights shift with 40 guaranteed hours per week and call coverage every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend. The role involves perioperative nursing care for patients across pediatric through geriatric ages in a hospital setting, with opportunities to support ortho, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy cases.

Requirements

Perioperative nursing experience with exposure to ortho, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy
Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and care planning across pediatric to geriatric populations
Strong collaboration and communication skills with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff
Willingness to work nights with the described call schedule (every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend)
Ability to work effectively in a hospital perioperative setting and adapt to the dynamic OR environment

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care from admission through discharge, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative support, and post-anesthesia care.
Perform age-appropriate assessments, care planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and scrub personnel; advocate for patient safety, comfort, and informed decision-making throughout the perioperative period.
Monitor vital signs, manage equipment and supplies, maintain sterile technique, and ensure safe patient transitions and discharges from the perioperative suite.
Assist with orthopedic, general surgery, gynecologic, and endoscopy procedures; contribute to efficient room turnover and readiness for subsequent cases.
Document accurately and completely; communicate clearly with patients, families, and the surgical team; provide education and discharge instructions as needed.
