About The Position

This travel assignment is a temporary role in the Operating Room within a surgical services department. The position is staffed as a travel - temporary assignment with guaranteed hours and a defined contract length.

Requirements

Active California RN license
BLS certification (American Heart Association) required and current
ACLS certification required within six months of employment; recertified every two years
PALS certification required within six months of employment; recertified every two years
Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in perioperative/OR or related field
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Immunization requirements per client policy with exemptions where allowed; ability to work in a perioperative setting
Willingness to participate in a travel assignment with on-call duties as needed

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for patients across the age spectrum in the operating room, coordinating care with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and other perioperative team members
Assist with preoperative assessments, intraoperative monitoring, technical support, and postoperative care as appropriate
Maintain sterile technique, equipment readiness, patient safety, and documentation in the perioperative record
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered care plans and ensure optimal outcomes
Respond to intraoperative changes, support anesthesia and surgical teams, and participate in crash cart readiness and safety protocols
