About The Position

This is a 13-week travel opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) in Chillicothe, Ohio. The assignment guarantees 36 hours per week, with a work schedule of three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. The role is situated in a hospital-based OR environment, involving varied cases across several specialties. The weekly pay ranges from $2,033 to $2,066.

Requirements

Active RN license in Ohio (or eligibility to practice in Ohio)
OR nursing experience required
Ability to work 7:00 pm–7:00 am, 3x12-hour night shifts
Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the assignment location
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent preparation for perioperative nursing

Responsibilities

Serve as the OR circulator, preparing the operating room, draping patients, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Manage intraoperative activities, including instrument and equipment readiness, counts of sponges/sharps, and room turnover between cases.
Pull and prepare next-day cases, verify case carts, check for outdates, and coordinate with circulating nurses to ensure timely case progression.
Handle urgent and emergent cases as needed, communicating clearly with anesthesia, surgeons, and PACU staff to optimize patient safety and flow.
Document perioperative care, maintain patient positioning safety, and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the OR team to provide high-quality patient care, facilitate smooth handoffs, and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative period.
