About The Position

Registered Nurse – OR (Perioperative) travel assignment available in Montana, United States. Start date: 10/05/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: 2,339–2,481 USD per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Nights. This perioperative nursing role supports adult through geriatric patients undergoing ortho, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy cases in a hospital setting. The assignment includes regularly scheduled shifts with on-call coverage.

Requirements

Current RN license; Montana licensure preferred or eligible to obtain licensure to practice in Montana
Perioperative OR experience, with familiarity in ortho, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy
Ability to work nights and participate in on-call schedule (every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend)
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessment and planning for patients across age groups (pediatric through geriatric) in the perioperative period.
Deliver perioperative care from admission through discharge, including pre-op assessment, intraoperative support, and recovery.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and scrub personnel on ortho, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy cases.
Administer medications, monitor patient status, maintain sterile technique, and adhere to infection control standards.
Advocate for patient safety, respond to intraoperative changes, and participate in on-call coverage as required.
