About The Position

Registered Nurse - OR travel assignment in Grand Junction, Colorado. Start date 09/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,735-$1,805 per week with guaranteed hours of 32 per week. Shift: Days. Work setting: operating room in a surgical services environment within a hospital-level context.

Requirements

Active RN license (state/certification requirements as applicable)
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
One (1) year of surgical experience
Ability to work in an OR environment and handle perioperative responsibilities
Availability to work the listed shift (Days) on a travel assignment

Responsibilities

Perform perioperative nursing duties, including preoperative patient assessment, care plan formulation, intraoperative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation of patient response and outcomes, with documentation of nursing care.
Assist in case setup by assembling equipment and supplies according to sterile technique; open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies as required.
Prepare each patient for surgery by positioning, prepping the operative site, confirming the procedure and site with the surgeon and OR team, and assisting with patient movement to and from the operating table.
Conduct surgical counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) and document nursing care on legal records.
Assist with the cleanup of the operating room after procedures, including proper disposal of used supplies and sharps.
Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other OR staff to ensure patient safety, sterility, and optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative period.
