About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room located in Atlanta, GA. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on September 21, 2026, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The role involves providing direct perioperative nursing care in a hospital operating room setting, working four 10-hour days with on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays. Extension opportunities may be available.

Requirements

Previous travel nursing experience required
Level 1 trauma experience required
High rating on skills checklist, including neuro and vascular competencies
Proficiency with Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; must have electronics to access these applications
Availability for call, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work effectively in a hospital operating room environment

Responsibilities

Provide direct perioperative nursing care for surgical patients in the OR, including monitoring vital signs and patient status throughout procedures.
Assist the surgical team with instrument handling, patient positioning, and maintaining sterile technique to uphold safety and infection control standards.
Collaborate closely with anesthesia providers, circulator nurses, and other OR staff to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
Prepare the OR, verify equipment and supplies, and assist with turnover between cases.
Document perioperative care and activity in the electronic health record, and communicate changes in patient condition to the team.
