About The Position
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR), Bangor, ME, United States. Travel assignment beginning 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, days shift in an inpatient surgical unit within a health system. Weekly pay range: $2,410 to $2,577. Employment is a travel - temporary assignment; work is conducted under the Maine Board of Nursing guidelines and facility policies.
Requirements
- Current Maine RN license
- BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- COVID-19 vaccination fully vaccinated per state mandate
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to work in an inpatient surgical/OR setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; flexible hours
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room and perioperative areas under supervision of the Unit Director; collaborate with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse for shift oversight.
- Prepare and maintain sterile technique, assist with procedures, monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery as appropriate; administer medications per orders.
- Work with anesthesia teams and other perioperative staff; document care in the electronic health record; participate in handoffs and care planning.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and readiness of equipment; monitor patient telemetry as applicable and adjust care as needed.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members; adapt to changing priorities and multi-task effectively.
