About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) located in Cumming, GA. The assignment is for 16 weeks, with a start date of 09/14/2026. The role guarantees 40 hours per week with an 8x5 day shift schedule. The work setting is an OR within a hospital.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required
- Ability to work Monday–Friday day shift (6:45 a.m. start typical in this assignment) and to meet holiday coverage requirements
- Willingness to support a variety of cases and adapt to a fast-paced perioperative setting
Nice To Haves
- Broad OR expertise with robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, gynecology, and prostate biopsy experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room, verify equipment and supplies, and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
- Scrub, circulate, and assist the surgical team during a range of cases, ensuring patient safety and timely turnover
- Position and transport patients as needed; monitor perioperative patient status and respond to changes promptly
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and circulator staff to support/analyze intraoperative patient care
- Document intraoperative events accurately and communicate deviations or concerns to the team
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and procedural checklists to maintain a safe perioperative environment
