About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology, to be performed in a hospital setting located in Cumming, Georgia. The assignment is for 16 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026. The role involves providing skilled, patient-centered care in a fast-paced inpatient oncology/medical-surgical unit.

Requirements

Active Georgia RN license (or eligibility as applicable)
Minimum 2 years of recent oncology/medical-surgical experience
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
NIHSS certification
Ability to work in an inpatient oncology/med-surg unit with 12-hour day shifts
Availability to meet holiday scheduling expectations as required

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for oncology inpatients and monitor patient status, including vital signs, labs, and symptom trends.
Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders, managing side effects and ensuring safety.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
Monitor for oncology-specific complications, provide symptom relief, and respond to clinical changes promptly.
Document care accurately in the electronic health record; ensure clear handoffs during shift changes.
Adhere to infection control protocols, medication safety standards, and hospital policies to maintain high-quality care.
