About The Position

This is a 13-week outpatient care assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology in Ukiah, California. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care in an outpatient setting, supervising staff, utilizing critical thinking for patient care, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The assignment is for a 4x10-hour day shift schedule.

Requirements

Active California Registered Nurse license (or license transfer eligibility) and current eligibility to practice in the state.
RN degree from an approved program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with ability to meet state licensure requirements.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Ability to work in an outpatient care environment and participate in a 4×10-hour shift schedule for a 13-week travel assignment.
Demonstrated clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

Oncology nursing experience or strong interest in oncology/medical-surgical nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatients in an outpatient care environment according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels and coordinate care with other disciplines.
Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment to plan and deliver care.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor patient status, respond to changes, and document findings accurately.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team; advocate for patient and family, ensuring safety, quality, and evidence-based practice.
