About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a short-term acute care setting in Geneva, NY. The assignment is for up to 26 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026 and running through January. The shift is 3x12 rotating days/nights, with on-call coverage as needed. Weekly pay ranges from $2,067 to $2,163. This role requires NYS RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and a minimum of two years of Med/Surg nursing experience. Healthforce Healthcare LLC provides assignment support, including credentialing and scheduling assistance, as well as dedicated travel and recruitment support.

Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse licensure
• BLS; ACLS (AHA or RQI approved)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Ability to work in a Med/Surg setting on a 3x12 rotating schedule
• Facility duties require knowledge of standard hospital safety and infection prevention protocols

Nice To Haves

• On-call shifts (2 in 4 weeks)
• Coverage required on holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs; develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Deliver direct nursing care, monitor patient progress, and adjust care as condition changes
• Administer medications and coordinate with the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment
• Educate patients and families, including self-care needs and post-discharge plans
• Document care actions, ensure infection prevention practices, and maintain a safe healing environment
• Support and mentor less experienced staff; participate in quality improvement activities as appropriate
