About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse position specializing in Oncology, located in Lawrenceville, GA. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on August 31, 2026. The role involves working night shifts on a 2x3 schedule within a hospital-based acute medical/surgical oncology unit. The position offers guaranteed hours and competitive weekly pay.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Georgia (or eligible per state requirements)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in oncology/med-surg
- BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA BLS and NIHSS required)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital med-surg setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document accurately in the EMR

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult oncology/med-surgical patients in an acute care setting.
- Monitor patient status, perform focused assessments, and escalate changes promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies within scope of practice; manage lines and infusion devices as needed.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (oncology, surgery, case management) and document care in the electronic medical record.
- Implement individualized care plans and educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and discharge planning; ensure safety and infection control protocols.
