About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse - Oncology position in Cumming, Georgia, for a 16-week assignment. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in step-down or intermediate care (oncology experience preferred)
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification
• Active RN license in Georgia
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Willingness to travel for a travel assignment; no local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult oncology patients in a step-down/intermediate care environment
• Monitor patient status, perform assessments, document findings, and respond to changes in condition; escalate as needed
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders; manage IV lines and infusion equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and the interprofessional team to develop and revise care plans; coordinate discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, symptom management, and safety
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record; adhere to infection control and safety protocols
