About The Position
This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) located in Fort Bragg, California. The role is situated in a critical access hospital setting and involves working in a high-acuity ICU environment. The position offers a contract duration of 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/12/2026. The nurse will work 3x12-hour day shifts per week, with 36 guaranteed hours weekly.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS or ARC-ALS
- At least two years of recent ICU/acute care nursing experience
- Critical care experience required
- EPIC EHR experience
- Ability to thrive in a high-acuity ICU setting

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for an assigned ICU patient population using the nursing process.
- Monitor and manage hemodynamics, ventilated patients, and complex clinical scenarios; administer medications and therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the care team to optimize outcomes.
- Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record and update care plans as patient status evolves.
- Participate in discharge planning, patient/family education, and safety initiatives to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise and coordinate tasks for assigned nursing staff and support personnel as appropriate.
