About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in Lawrenceville, GA. The assignment is for 16 weeks, with a start date of 09/20/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care to critically ill adults, monitoring ventilated patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and responding to emergencies. Candidates must be able to work in a high-acuity environment and meet holiday coverage requirements. Note that local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS required
• Ability to work in a high-acuity MICU environment
• Ability to meet holiday coverage requirements

Nice To Haves

• CCRN preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the MICU, including comprehensive assessment, planning, and evaluation of care
• Monitor ventilated patients and provide hemodynamic support, including vasoactive medications and continuous monitoring
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in daily rounds; document patient status and progress in the electronic medical record
• Respond to clinical changes and emergencies; implement rapid response and code procedures as needed
• Ensure infection control practices, safe medication administration, and adherence to patient safety standards
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, and coordinate care across units as needed

• Weekly pay: $1,750–$1,857 per week
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts on a 12x3 rotation
• Holiday coverage: Must work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday per assignment policy
