About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in Med Surg at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital in Ukiah, California. The contract duration is 13 weeks, starting September 14, 2026. The role involves delivering direct nursing care, analyzing patient data, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, supervising other nursing staff, and providing patient and family education. There are potential opportunities for contract extension.

Requirements

Current California RN license (active)
BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor per facility policy
ACLS certification from an approved vendor per facility policy
PALS certification from an approved vendor per facility policy
Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg/acute care experience
Ability to work in a hospital setting and meet the shift/weekend requirements

Nice To Haves

BSN degree preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to a patient or assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards of care.
Collect relevant data, analyze assessment information, and determine care issues to inform the plan of care.
Develop and implement a care plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes; adjust plans as needed; collaborate with the patient, family, and treatment team.
Supervise and direct duties of various levels of nursing staff; delegate appropriately and coordinate interdisciplinary care.
Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
