About The Position

This is a 14-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in an acute-care inpatient medical-surgical setting in Atlanta, Georgia. The role offers guaranteed 36 hours per week with a day shift on a 12-hour, 3-day rotation. The position is on a 10-bed admission-focused med-surg unit within a major metro health system.

Requirements

• Current RN license with Nursys license verification; licensure requirements to be met in Georgia
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 12-hour day shift on an admission-focused unit; strong communication and independent work skills
• Must provide required profile materials: resume with no gaps >60 days, Skills Checklist, References, Certification Card

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient status on a 10-bed admission-focused med-surg unit
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; observe for adverse reactions; document in the electronic chart
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care, including discharge planning
• Respond to patient changes promptly; manage admissions from triage through bed assignment; support rapid patient turnover
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate clinical documentation; assist with transfers and readiness for surgery as needed
